Mary Ward was born on 6th March 1915. She was also known as Mary Ward Breheny. Mary has lived two world wars and two pandemics in her life. She was from Fremantle.
Ward had studied acting in Perth and London. After that, she returned to Australia with the upcoming Second World War. There she has a friendship with Lionel Logue who is a speech therapist and King George VI who appeared in the film ‘The King Speech’. At her early, stage of life she became first lady to join the ABC radio announcers. She became famous because of her broadcasts of Australian Armed force. She earned the title “Force’s Sweetheart”. Later, she used to do many stages play and Australian films at ABC television. Ward is remembered for her role as Jeanette in Prison drama Prisoner: Cell Block H in 1979-1981. She had also joined the Melbourne Theatre Company. She had also done the projects like Sons and Daughters, Neighbors and Young Doctors.
